Dear Neighbors & Friends,
Many of you know who we are but for those who haven’t yet met us, we are a 100% volunteer run, 100% donation funded, 501(c)(3) non-profit humane organization. Together with Ipswich Animal Control we support the animals at the Ipswich Animal Shelter and find permanent homes for the stray and abandoned cats and dogs of Ipswich and surrounding towns. To date we have found forever homes for over 3,000 cats and dogs. Over the past few years the Ipswich Humane Group has taken in a growing number of cats and kittens from the community. We did not have enough room to adequately separate those animals that needed special care. To accommodate this need and to better serve the growing population, we have constructed a new addition and reconfigured the shelter. This new layout will allow us to provide individual space for those animals that need it — for as long as they need it. It includes an additional isolation room, new indoor cat and dog kennels, and outdoor dog kennels with runs. The construction is completed, but acquiring the new kennels and outdoor runs is still in progress. In order to defray the cost of this project and to allow us to continue providing food, veterinary care, and other needed supplies for the shelter animals, we need your help to replenish these much needed funds. It takes nearly $25,000 a year to take care of these precious animals. Please join us and help ensure that these animals have a comfortable space to live while we search for their forever homes.
