I Want To Adopt |
|
Since its founding in 1982, the Ipswich Humane Group has become one of Ipswich’s most well known and valued organizations. In 2024, our volunteers, working in conjunction with the Animal Control Officer, Megan Souza, found forever homes for 45 cats and 12 dogs.
Ipswich would not have an animal shelter if not for the many volunteers that care for the animals daily, both in the shelter and in foster care. The Board of Directors would like to express their gratitude to these volunteers for their dedication and time commitment as well as to the many members of our community that financially support our shelter. This year we held our 13th annual Tree Jubilee, our largest fund raiser. A special thank you goes to the Marini Family for the use of their greenhouse for this event and also for coordinating the “Doggy Maze Daze” fund raiser in September. Both of these events have become much loved traditions in Ipswich, the North Shore and beyond. We would also like to thank the following organizations who have had fundraising projects that have benefited the animal shelter: Bank of Gloucester for their "Banking for the Community" award in October; St. John’s Prep Animal Welfare Club for their financial support, "Blessing of the Animals" event and volunteering for the Tree Jubilee Fundraiser; Muddy Creek Animal Care Center who hosted "Photos with Santa"; and many numerous small groups and individuals. As always, we appreciate the veterinary support that we receive throughout the year from Topsfield Veterinary Hospital, Animal Care, SRH and Muddy Creek Animal Care Center. The Ipswich Animal Shelter is located at 17 Fowlers Lane. If you wish to see the animals available for adoption, please visit the shelter at our Open House every Sunday from 2 -4 pm, visit www.ipswichhumanegroup.org or our Facebook page. Monetary donations can be mailed to: Ipswich Humane Group, P.O. Box 873, Ipswich, MA 01938 or can be made online through our website at the DONATE button below. We are always looking for individuals or families to provide foster care for cats and dogs. If you are interested and would like more information, please complete our form on our website.
